BROTHERHOOD

Brotherhood

The Trojan Knights make up a diverse group of students from disparate backgrounds, all of whom share a passion for USC. Knights study business, engineering, theater, medicine, screenwriting, economics, music, law, filmmaking, public policy, art, and so much more. All of them can call Trojan Knights their home.

Amongst these individuals, you also join an esteemed group of campus leaders. Knights lead numerous social, athletic, service, and professional organizations across campus. Current members and alumni are Order of the Torch honorees, Greek life leaders, and USG executives. Our alumni have gone on to become Board of Trustee members, business leaders, and senior administrative leaders at USC and have created a strong support network for the benefit of future Knights.

Each semester Trojan Knights host many events for Knights to socialize outside of a university setting. These include sporting events (e.g. basketball, football, cricket, kickball), Nerf battles, and mini-golf. But Knights foster the truest form of Brotherhood through everyday interactions around campus - whether that's chatting at the Trojan Knights bench between classes or starting their own business. By joining the Trojan Knights, you will build and join a brotherhood for life.

SERVICE

Service

As Trojan Knights, we are committed to giving back to our local community. We believe service is not a requirement, but instead a responsibility that all of us must embrace and practice throughout our lives. We hope to continue to represent that commitment through our work for many years to come.

Each year, Knights participates in numerous community service projects and charitable events to help the underserved community in the South Los Angles area and beyond. The Trojan Knights helped found the annual Swim with Mike charity event, which helps create scholarships for athletes with physical disabilities, and Troy Camp, one of USC’s most notable student-run philanthropic organizations. Every Halloween, we carve pumpkins for the children in the USC Village. Each spring, we run a Bone Marrow Drive at Tommy Trojan and hold Trojan Knights Carnival, where we set up games and bounce houses for kids, at Union Rescue Mission on Skidrow. We supplement these larger events with weekly middle school tutoring and mentorship at 32nd St Elementary, right across from USC’s campus.

Service Events Include:

  • Be the One Bone Marrow Drive

  • Chalk the Block

  • Easter Eggstravaganza

  • Halloween Pumpkin Carving

  • Jr. Knights / Jr. Helenes mentoring

  • Kicks 4 Kids

  • Swim With Mike

  • Trojan Knights Carnival

  • Weekly Middle School Tutoring

SPIRIT

Spirit

The Trojan Knights take pride in being the most passionate and dedicated Trojan fans around. Prior to every home football game, the Trojan Knights, along with our partner-organization, the USC Helenes, help distribute pom-poms and rally towels in the student section. For our hard work and commitment to the football program, we are reserved the first 5 rows of seats at home games. This privilege has gained us much recognition throughout the country, as our body painting regularly is featured on national television. We can also be seen on the sidelines ringing the Victory Bell during big plays.

The Trojan Knights can be found supporting every Trojan team. We body paint and hold up signs for basketball and volleyball games. Each year, Knights travel with the basketball team for the PAC-12 tournament in Las Vegas.

As Official Hosts and Guardians of Tradition, the Trojan Knights also have the honor of escorting the Victory Bell to official Administrative and Athletics events. In the rivalry week prior to the USC vs. UCLA football game, you will find us camping out in front of Tommy Trojan, 24 hours a day, protecting him from the Bruins. The Trojan Knights were also the caretakers of Tirebiter when he was the university's unofficial mascot, and were instrumental in bringing our current mascot, Traveler, to USC.
