History

In 1921, three Trojans desired to create an organization that would uphold the traditions of the University of Southern California – an organization that would dedicate itself to the University and its future. These Trojans, Harry Pryor, Harry Kennedy and Lindley Bothwell, would soon become the founders of the Trojan Knights. Since its foundation, each member has striven to embody the five attributes of the ideal Trojan: Faithful, Scholarly, Skillful, Courageous and Ambitious. The Trojan Knights have planned and established some of the most important events in the history of USC and guarded its most cherished traditions. Today, some of our responsibilities include:

  • Keepers of the Victory Bell

  • Leading the Student Section

  • Hosting Notable Visitors to Campus

  • Maintaining Important USC Traditions

  • Painting Bodies at Sporting Events

  • Guarding Tommy Trojan during Troy Week

  • Planning Service Events in the Local Community

  • Assisting with Athletic Recruiting

  • Developing the Next Generation of Leaders

  • Bettering USC and the Community Around It
